Airbag, live in Zoetermeer

The Norwegian band Airbag performed at the De Boerderij cultural venue in Zoetermeer on February 24th. What a delight! The guitar sound of lead guitarist Bjorn Riis is strongly reminiscent of Pink Floyd's David Gilmour. No wonder, since he's also the man behind the guitar blog Gilmourish... He's truly perfected the sound. But Airbag themselves deliver brilliant songs, all accompanied by the melancholic vocals of singer Asle Tostrup. It was uncertain whether the performance would go ahead, as the band's bassist was rushed to the hospital about two or three weeks ago. Fortunately, the band found a replacement who quickly mastered the songs. They delivered a brilliant performance, culminating in the closing track, "Homesick." Highly recommended!
