Blancpain GT Zolder 2018

After a long winter break, it was time for me to photograph a race again on Saturday, April 7th. The opening races of the Blancpain GT Series were scheduled for the New Race Festival at the Zolder circuit in Belgium. In the morning qualifying session, home hero Dries Vanthoor and Dutchman Robin Frijns took pole position in their Audi R8s for the first and second races (Sunday). During the first race, Vanthoor initially looked destined for victory, but in the end, it was the Grasser Racing Lamborghini of Mirko Bortolotti and Christian Engelhart that won the race on pit strategy. During the race, practice sessions, and the support program (including the GT4 European Series), I naturally kept busy, taking photos in various locations.
