NASCAR Euroseries Zolder 2018

NASCAR Euroseries Zolder 2018

In 2016, I attended a real NASCAR race in Richmond, Virginia . It was a true spectacle. It was time to see how the European sibling fared during their season finale at the American Festival in Zolder. It was great to see and hear American-style stock cars, complete with the accompanying V8 roar, roaring around the track again. With flames from the exhausts and sparks as they bounced through the corners, it was a sight to behold. It was, however, a bit less noisy than in the US, probably due to all the regulations here in Europe. Israeli driver Alon Day took the title lead in the first race of the weekend. He held on to it for the following races, becoming the 2018 champion. However, the rest of the program didn't always seem to fit the American Festival label. Admittedly, there were a fair number of American classics on the track, including those from the Belgian Corvette Club. But a Polish championship with small Kia Picantos isn't exactly what we had in mind. Luckily, I was still able to take photos to my heart's content on this beautiful autumn day, so here are the photos again!
